Once the measurements are taken and the outlines of all parts are clear, the real adventure begins. You need to ask yourself the following questions:

• What color or color combination do I want, and does it match my boat?

• What design do I want? Teak stripes? Just a pin-line? Squares? Triangles? Hexagons? A busy floor? Or very sleek and calm? Do I want a logo in the floor? Or the name of my boat?

Advice from Marine Deck Europe: Think about this in advance. Often, decision stress causes unnecessary delays. As long as you don’t know what we need to create, we can’t order or produce the materials.

Our experience shows that many customers come in with the idea of “brown with black teak stripes” and after seeing the possibilities and discussing them with us, ultimately choose different colors and a different design.

Once the choices are made, our designer gets to work creating a file that drives the CNC machine.
